Current stock: Yellowtail Damsel, 2 True Perc Clowns, Longnose Hawkfish, Yellow Coris Wrasse, Copperband Butterfly, Flame Angel, Lyretail Anthia and Zebra Dartfish.

So, most of my stock are carnivorous. But the new additions (angel, clowns and damsel) are all omnivores.

My concern is that the omnivores are not getting the proper nutrients. I've tried offering frozen seaweed cubes and emerald isle mixed with brine and mysis shrimp. These fish are picky... All of them! They don't touch the veggie offerings at all and barely touch the mysis. They devour the brine shrimp though. Is this an issue? Will they get enough nutrients from the algae on the live rock? What can I do to entice them to eat the veggies?

Next time I go to the LFS, I'll pick some up. Thanks for the tip.

Give Hikari 'Seaweed Extreme' pellets a go, I was very pleased and surprised at the exceptence by most of my fish including Anthias, Bangaii's, Leopard Wrasse and even my Target Mandarin. Of course my Tangs go nuts for it but it also has fish meal and a fairly high percentage of protein in it.

Cheers, Todd

Thanks Todd!

I have a few different types of pellet and flake food. The only fish that will eat this stuff is the Wrasse and the Watchmen Goby (sorry, forgot this guy before). I have some large discs that I occasionally drop in for the hermits and shrimp... The goby usually steals them. He chews them for a bit and then hides them. If the other fish or tank mates go for it, he takes it away.
