Little help on identification of possible parasite .

Both clowns in the last week have started displaying this on their bodies. I thought it could be marine velvet but was looking for help for a positive Id

I think that might be ich and not velvet but i cant be 100% sure but what i know is that ich has white dots that you can actually count while velvet is more like a coat of white spots too many to count

Thank you, I thought it might be something I found online called Brooenella (something spelled like that) but just wasn’t sure.

If you mean the clownfish Disease, it kind of could be but usually that looks like bacteria infection more like a sponge Disease with white patches

Not Velvet as that is usually Fatal quite quickly. Marine Ich is likely. How long have you had this pair and have you recently added and other Fish, Corals, or other Inverts lately? I would plan on a Hospital Tank with CopperPower or Coppersafe and Checking levels using a Hanna HR Copper Test kit.

I’ve had the pair for about 4.5 years no problems. About 2 years ago added a yellow watchman and pistol shrimp no problems it seemed. About 3 weeks ago I moved flame angel and chocolate chip starfish into this tank (I wanted to add coral to my bigger tank and felt like both of these were a problem in doing so)

The flame angel showing similar signs if not worse.

Can you post a Pic of your Flame Angel? Angels are not likely to get Brook so as I suspected it's Ich. What Tank did the Angel come from or was it a new purchase?

No it came from my big tank. Picture to follow thanks for the advice . I’m already setting up med tank if I need to medicate .

I would start with water from the tank they are currently in, or use new saltwater for med tank?
( if that’s the route I need to go)
