2 new fish within the last week, but a few fish were dying before the new additions. I will look it up, But what is the fix for velvet? Thank you all for the help!! Kids will be crying soon unfortunately, we've been really lucky these 3 years, no issues before this.

Ya it stinks, I have been in the same boat my friend. Wishing you the best, don't be afraid to ask questions as you go through the treatment process.

Thank you all for the help. If they all don't make it before I can help them what is the best way of getting rid of it before I introduce new fish to the tank?

Well I actually think that’s brook. However, velvet could also be a factor.

I’d treat in copper and metroplex. Metroplex for 14 days, copper for 30 unless you transfer to a new, sterile quarantine on day 14 that shares nothing with the first.

I’d begin with a freshwater dip for 5 minutes for some instant relief.
