I have a Midas Blenny in my reef tank and I noticed it has been occasionally flashing against the rock and sand. It has no visible signs of disease or parasites and other than the flashing is acting completely normal and healthy plus all other fish appear completely fine. Any ideas what this could be?

Do a fresh water dip. May have flukes.

I have a bicolor blenny that will flash against the rocks. I think its to show the other fish he owns the rocks. Have had him for 7months no sign of flukes.

While they tend to flash occasionally, please post a video using bright white light intensity to see the number of frequency and do not dip unnecessarily until cause is confirmed

I’ve only seen it flash 3 times and I’ve been home all day with the tank in my room though I could have missed some.

Appears to habitual rather than disease but keep an eye on it for any increase in frequency of flashing
