Hello everyone!
Hoping someone might be able to tell me if I need to be a little more worried about my tang...
A little backstory, fish was ordered from Dr. Reefs a few weeks ago and has been in the tank for two weeks now. Tankmates are peaceful and I haven't seen any outward aggression from any of the fish towards the tang (in fact the tang is the largest fish in the tank). I would say the scratches are probably from today (I didn't see them yesterday).
Should I be concerned about these scratches? The fish is feeding very well and is extremely active. I haven't seen any flashing or anything that would make me think it might be flukes...
This is my first tang so I wasn't sure if this is a relatively normal thing for them?
The only other fish that has been added recently has been a solon wrasse that was in the same Dr. Reef's order... No other signs of disease or parasites from other tankmates...

Thanks

Mine gets those often from bedding down in the rocks. Monitor for any infections but they usually heal up in a week or so.
Thanks, it does sleep up in the rocks and that was the only thing I could think of.
Is it worth getting some selcon? (I've never used it before but I've been reading it helps tangs). Currently the bristletooth is eating a lot of algae and spirulina brine.

If its eating well and healing I wouldn't change a thing.
