I have a lagoon 25 which i am planning to put a watchman and pistol shrimp. Do you have any suggestions for what else to put in other than things like firefish or dottybacks or clownfish? also would it be fine to put in a tomini tang?

I really like Pygmy wrasses. Very cool fish and also functional as it helps with coral pests.

You could probably try something fun and unique like the pigmy spotted filefish too? The ORA captive bred ones are reported to be very unliked to munch on coral.

There are quite a few blenny options that could be fun for you too. Check out the captive bred options from ORA or the tail spot blenny (which happens to help with film algae).

The Tomini would have to be really small and would only last about a year to two before it would outgrow the tank. I would go with something like a Tuxedo urchin for algae control.

I wouldn’t do a dottyback (I know you mentioned you didn’t really want one anyway) with a goby like that. Very likely to be aggressive given the similar body shape.
