Hi all,

I purchased a new fish yesterday, thinking it was a 6-line wrasse. It is not.

Any help on the ID would be appreciated!

White body with lateral black lines, 3 per side. Dorsal fin also has black lateral line. Some black spots at rear coming from the lowest black line. Head and neck are yellow, fading into white, but black shows through still.

My first guess was a juvenile two-tone wrasse, but yellow is on tail rather than head normally.

Fish is approx 1 1/2" - 2" in length.

Last night as lights went out and moonlight turned on, he backed himself into mass of Lettuce algae where he appeared to spend the night.

Thanks guys, that's definitely the one!

Not what I thought I bought, but an interesting addition to the tank.
