Hello Reefers!

Yesterday morning I ordered a foxface from Live Aquaria . The fish shipped out latter that night. It's being delivered to my office. Should come to my door today around 10am-12pm today. I'm going to try to leave work at 2pm.

How long can a fish stay in a bag? Do I leave it in the container? Will the temp stay stable until I get home?

Thanks!

WVNed

The fish are staring at me with hungry eyes.

I would sit the box in a quiet place and unpack it when I got home. I quit often don't get deliveries at my home until 5pm. The animals have been fine.

It's important that you close the box completely after the initial inspection. The blackout keeps the fish calm and be less active.

Cool thanks. I hope to leave a little early ;) I read online those heat packs are temperature regulated. Is that true?

Agree with the prior two comments. You definitely do not want to open the bag prior to being ready to move the fish into a new tank.

Not to my knowledge. Their exposure to oxygen is a limiting factor, along with the type of material.

They add heating packets that keep the water relatively warm... not proper temps but. I would say they'd probably last in the bag a day.
