I have a blue hippo tang and a cooperband butterfly. The copperband is active and swimming around but the tang is hiding behind my filter and neither have eaten yet after 5 days and i did see the fish eat at the store

I got some ive tried to feed them twice with mysis shrimp cause thats what i saw them eat. Maybe ill try the brine shrimp next time

I've never seen a fish not go for Live Brine shrimp. You could try frozen Brine as well as some pellets & LRS frozen. I feed mine a variety except when I'm on Vacation, then it's just pellets.

Water parameters? If it's a new tank or a newly setup quarantine tank, the PH can swing, often dropping too low, and ammonia and/or nitrite can build quickly. Both are toxic to fish. A fish often won't eat if the water parameters are off.

I know when i had first got one, it hide all the time. I would have the light low in the room to feed and it would eat. Something to try. Unless there is some other problem.
