Looking for fish/inverts to keep my macros in the refugium clean. In my DT I have a tail spot that does an excellent job of keeping the macro algae clean, so looking for something similar for my 5 gal refugium. Are smaller hermits a good idea? I have some snails that do work on the glass, so I'm looking for something to actually eat detritus that's on the algae itself.

I wonder if hermit crabs would end up eating the actual macroalgae as well

Good trouble: Have mushrooms ever become pests in your aquarium?
