Fish jumping out

I have a question. About 2 months ago I had a clownfish that jumped out of the tank and I found it dead the next day. Today I found my flame angel on the floor dead. What is going on? What can be causing my fish to jump out of the tank? Please help

Something scaring them? Crab? People walking by the tank late at night? I'd just put a screen over it.

A lid would stop all fish from Jumping. Fish jump when they get startled or are trying to catch food. You can get a custom lid made or you can make one yourself from supplies at Bulk Reef Supplies.

Has it been hotter than usual lately and 2 months ago? Mine get jumpy if it’s hot.

Voltage could be another cause.

I agree that a lid would seem like a logical next step.

Any fish CAN jump -- although neither fish you've mentioned is particularly "jumpy" (pun-intended). A lid is a good idea, but I would recommend checking for stray voltage, and your temperature as mentioned. A startled fish is more likely to jump -- kids or pets are two common causes for this.

All fish can jump, a lid is a must IMO!
