OK. After battling Brooks and then a bacterial infection in small town KY and not ever seeming to have the medicine I need within a 2 hours drive (and then IF the LFS had it in stock) I've bitten the bullet and set up a fish med "dispensary". That way I can have meds here at hand when problems arise.

Here is what I have "in stock". Any other suggestions? Am I missing something?
  • Metroplex
  • Furan-2
  • KanaPlex
  • SulfaPlex
  • Erythromycin
  • Tetracycline
  • Cupramine
  • Methylene Blue
  • Super Ick Cure
  • Nitrofuracin Green Powder
  • PraziPro
  • Seachem Stability
  • Seachem Prime
  • Formalin MS
  • Acriflavine MS
  • Nitrofurazone Powder
  • Garlic Guard
  • Selcon
  • Zoe
  • full complement of test kits / meters
  • replacement sponges, media, and carbon for both hospital tank and quarantine tank
Here's a couple photos of the "dispensary". :)

that's quite the medicine cabinet! I do want to warn you that these meds to expire. Be sure to check their dates often and throw away the bad ones. Also what is the "silicon" for? did you mean Selcon?

Yes - have the expiration dates on my calendar. And yes - autocorrect. It is "Selcon". I will update above.

Good deal! Seems like you have most anything you could need. Selcon makes much more sense! :D Figured the evil auto correct had struck again, get's me all the time!

That is quite the medicine cabinet! The only other thing I can think to suggest is Coppersafe with an API copper test kit. I am rapidly losing faith in Cupramine i.e. ionic copper.

I've got the API copper test kit. I'll look into getting Coppersafe. Why the loss of faith in Cupramine?

I'll second HumbleFish's recommendation of CopperSafe - even though I do have Cupramine on hand - as it seems to be gentler on the fish despite the marketing hype

^^This. However, if I was gonna roll the dice using copper on a scaleless fish (mainly eels) I would use Cupramine. For sharks & eels, you must use Chloroquine phosphate.
