Sorry for no updates. I ended up getting really sick and spent some time in the hospital. Unfortunately I am still loosing fish. About 1 per week. I am recovering and am unable to work on the tank for another week or so. Once I am better I will start at this problem again.

I can now go down stairs on my own so I am back to my tank! Good news is I still have some fish! So we will keep fighting through.

Please if you can get him alive i will take him. Pay for shipping. Even buy him if i must. I really really want one!
I am still limited on what I can do so it will likely be a while before I can haul out the live rock to it hunt down. From what I've read traps won't work as they keep a part of themselves in a hole almost 24/7. Should he come peacefully when the time does come i am sure we can figure something out.

I don't know what species that is, but it's probably not a coincidence that you've been trying to figure out what is chewing on your fish and then this beast shows up. I've actually never seen what the "regular ole ones" do to a fish's body, but I know mine loved fish and had power. He would haul it back to his den, to eat in private. Usually, I'm the first to say it's not THEE bobbit, but I'm going to say for the first time.... I don't know. Either way, I think he's a problem.

Just read through. So sry @Naiad to read about your trouble. And fish loss. :-( if catching it is too much, forget I asked. Wish I lived nearby. I would be happy to help with caring for your tank while you recover. :-( hope you are better soon.

You should be able to grab a piece of him and that will be enough for Wiz...... not enough to fix your problem, however.
