I don't know what species that is, but it's probably not a coincidence that you've been trying to figure out what is chewing on your fish and then this beast shows up. I've actually never seen what the "regular ole ones" do to a fish's body, but I know mine loved fish and had power. He would haul it back to his den, to eat in private. Usually, I'm the first to say it's not THEE bobbit, but I'm going to say for the first time.... I don't know. Either way, I think he's a problem.
Oh yea. He has to go. I used to have many 1' fish they just disappeared. I first figured they found new holes to hide away in the 220. Now I know they were the first victims. I was just curious because I don't think this one is alone and the thought they could be in my 6 in sand bed is terrible. If you had an idea on sp then maybe I could get some behavioral info and size range to look for that's all. Thank you for all your help!

You should be able to grab a piece of him and that will be enough for Wiz...... not enough to fix your problem, however.
The way my luck has gone with this tank I could probably pick any small chunk of rock and send it. It should be teeming with strange horrors lol. I will be honest I did end up keeping one of the mantis shrimps though. He was just too cool to give up.

Just read through. So sry @Naiad to read about your trouble. And fish loss. :-( if catching it is too much, forget I asked. Wish I lived nearby. I would be happy to help with caring for your tank while you recover. :-( hope you are better soon.
It is not really any more trouble then I have to go through anyway to make the tank safe for the fish.
