Someone oh Oahu in HI and I have talked about me buying a pair of fish from him but he doesn't know much about shipping and also cannot find a good carrier to ship overnight to buffalo ny. Can someone direct me to a good article on shipping? Anyone know any carriers that would be able to ship that distance? Is it even worth the effort or is it too much of a risk having someone inexperienced ship fish that far

I live in Washington state and had three packages over the past year shipped from hawaii through fedex.

I would try to find someone in conus I lived on Oahu for five years and shipped stuff all the time to the mainland and bad things can happen all the time, I would find another way being that the person does not know how to ship. Ammonia toxicity can be a rel problem shipping fish that far. good luck

I wouldnt risk it IMO. just Fly there and take a vacation and get the fish 8)

You could try having a LFS ship the fish. I would not want an inexperienced person shipping a pair of fish that long of a distance.

check out Pacific island aquatics. they're in Hawaii and they're a sponsor on here. Kev takes care of his stuff and packs very very well.
