What fish do you feel protective of?

Is there a fish you own or really like that you feel protective of whenever someone talks about getting one? Do you ever feel almost obligated to explain its care needs, requirements and why it might not be a good fit for them? Do you comment on social media posts when you see people talking about buying one?

For me it's:

1. Tilefish, especially flashing tilefish. I actually don't know of anyone who's kept them long term and some stores have even stopped stocking them now because the mortality rate is so high. But then I still see other places advertising them as the "next cool fish you should add", and it drives me a bit crazy.
2. Blue spot jawfish. People still put them in tanks that are too warm and then argue they're fine, even though I haven't seen a single confirmed case of one living past one year in those temperatures.
3. Garden eels. I see people putting them in regular reef tanks without a proper deep sand bed. People have argued with me that all they need is 2 to 3 inches of sand because they'll just burrow horizontally instead.

Firefish! My first ever fish, and I just love the look of them.

is say specific to my fish, my two clowns and my yellow tang, with the rest all a close second.

My clowns were my fist fish 14 years ago, and my yellow tank was from a nearby reefer that I want to ensure does well due to the cost of the fish and unavailability.

I don’t get into it with social or such outside of face to face advise from a friend. I like to listen more than give advice

Mandarins. Currently own a blue and a pair of spotted who all readily eat bloodworms and brine shrimp.

I council most people to do their own research.

Most of the things come down to either tank size or fish compatibility.

For achilles tangs I often let people know they are quite disease prone.

Whenever I hear about someone buying a Unicorn Tang or Undulated Trigger, I freak.
