So my Wife says my tank smells fishy.
Tell her it's much better than Pulp Mill, which is the de facto outdoor standard here. You wouldn't think that wood products would stink that much, but you would be wrong. It's just as bad as rotten potatoes when the wind is right. You know, the potatoes that lurk in the back of the pantry that are all black and mushy and covered with white spots and are ready for a starring role in a Stephen King novel.

I lived by the shore for many years and endured lots of stinky beach smells. I've never had any tank, skimmer, or skimmate smell quite as bad as the ripest seaside odors. I just tell my family that the tang of salty (and sometimes algaefied) air is healthful and refreshing and a bonus in a locale thousands of kilometers from the ocean. :)
