Opinions on stocking please. I have read all kinds of mixed thoughts on recommended max number of fish. I have a 55 gallon with the following
2 clown
tomini tang
Coral beauty
2 trochus snails
Tiger conch
Chocolate chip star

I am thinking of adding a file fish to battle the returning Aptasia.
Would you consider this tank full or could I add a couple more fish? What would you recommend?
Also do you count your CUC in the stocking? I want a cleaner shrimp.
fish only tank.

I have similar, also have three green chromis but a Flame Angel as the Coral didn't survive the QT. I don't know how the file fish would do though with a tang and CB.

I do not count my cleanup crew but I would count a shirmp, clam, anemone or similar.

The limitation to stocking is usually aggression. It's hard to give a number because of the size and aggression of fish. I'd guess 5-10 for the tank.
Inverts like cleaner shrimp and starfish don't count.

I also suggest peppermint shrimp. They clean up aiptasia really fast for me.

Judging by the size of your tank and the amount of fish you have im sure theres room for more where as i have a 36 gallon bowfront and have a school of 8-10 parrots along with an angelfish and 10+ Misc fish from blennies and gobies along with countless crustaceans to keep the tank and fish clean.
