Just placed the order, tank has been super stable so I think it's time to move forward...

Fish are all doing well, seem happy, and a bit on the greedy side lol, feeding as much as I dare to get them nice and fat!

I love what you did with the mangroves Alex! How deep is the sand bed and then the water above it? I know they don't like their leaves wet. I'd love to go pick me some but there's gators in the area that I know of lol

Thx Jackie, the sand bed has roughly 2-1/2" (5, 12Lbs buckets) of Walt Smith Fiji Mud, and 1" of sand with crushed rock on top...
the water is only about 8"-9" high, I have some of the longer mangroves buried right into the mud the others are held in place by rock rubble leftover from my dry-rock order.

I mist them down a few times a week with RO/DI water to keep the leaves free from salt creep.

One thing I forgot to add about "Mangrove Center" is all the short rooted ones are in the over-flow box, it's getting a bit cramped in there will have to see about moving them soon.

Finally, some BIGGER life on the reef!

Seems like I put these guys through the wringer but after a Safety-Stop dip, TTM (w/Prazipro at transfers 2 & 4) for 13days, and QT for a remainder of the time, they're home in my DT and doing well.

Usul and Stilgar

Stilgar, Do we have pods? Usul, we have pods the likes of which even God has never seen:D


so I tried to video the "podxplosion" but, had no real luck... been dosing DT's Live Phyto about a capful every other day or so along with leftover fish food and whatever detritus is in the system and the pods thats I just added on 5/6 have exploded in numbers!
They are covering all the glass on each tank and can been seen dashing about like little ants... :rockon:
