Algae not a problem. One colony of SPS is RTN. Everything else has darkened it's color too much. KH and nitrates are not the same ratio as before of KH 7.0-7.3 and nitrate 3. Working 12 hour shifts I haven't had time to focus. Tomorrow and going forward I will keep my eyes on correcting my numbers. Lights are off now and I am heading to bed.

I had to bring my phos up with my 8.4 (got to 9 at one point). You're having the opposite problem here. Highish phos, low alk.

The only parameter that I would MAYBE be concerned is phosphate, but in all honesty, .1 of phosphate is perfectly fine.

I would just let the phosphates naturally fall and maybe use a little less of the food that has the phosphate in it.

My thoughts on the phosphates is I know high all and low/no phosphates can cause stick issues but what about low alk and high phosphates?

Two years ago I placed a SPS frag on the back side of one the rocks. It has now come to the front side. It hadn’t grown at all until it erupted in the last 3 month and is taking over the rock.

it is now attacking my Walt Disney. How does one stop a SPS from growing over another?

Beautiful, just send them here I'll take of it for ya'... ;)
Would frag the easiest one to frag , or whichever one is taking most damage.
Also if possible use small thin rock ,or sm piece of acrylic between them... :)

What does the acrylic do? Just super glue it to the rock? Thank you

Leave the SPS that is growing quickly right where it is. Once you find that sweet spot for an Acro, best to leave it there and let it blossom.

I find the Walt Disney to be a very slow growing SPS no matter where it is in my aquarium. I would find a new location for the WD.

Will work as a dividing wall between the two, best to just lodge in place ,acrylic does not float
if that's not possible then yes ,not superglue ,but a dab of putty would work best to secure until acro's melt on and secure in place ... :)

Frag off the branches to leave the flat encrusted areas, then flatten out a really thin but wide piece of two part epoxy, and then put glue on it and cover as much of it as you can. You will kill the coral that you cover. And eventually when the coral starts regrowing over the epoxy in a few months. Take a flathead screwdriver under the epoxy and pop the whole thing off. Then you have a rice encrusted tile ready to sell!. Corals grow great on epoxy lol

First time stopping in, great build!! :face-with-tears-of-joy:

Did you use a 40 breeder for your sump? or did you have the sump custom made?

Thank you

Thank you for stopping by. The display is a 40B, and the sump is a 40B with a Fuji sump kit.

I'm planning on a IM upgrade to accommodate the other SPS that need more room. I also have become fond of wrasses.

I was supposed to have removed the Walt Disney from the rock today. Didn’t have time. I am doing a water change, and other maintenance duties now. When I removed the three filter socks I found this lovely thing in one of the socks.
