@fishface NJ tbis is the size pellet you need if fish are eating this brand

👍 Okay! Will order the large. I had gotten the small but wow it really is small

They just ate the pellets again. PE pellets they hated. I have the Ultra Fresh in a Eheim feeder. I was looking a Avast feeders this morning but I really don't want to spend that much on it.

I been using this for years when on vacation. Cheap and reliable. I set up a WiFi camera turn off all pumps and skimmers remotely feed. Watch tank then turn on all pumps after 10 to 20 minutes. Works great and if it breaks I’ll get a new one. https://a.co/d/4Des31X

Yes! The three of them ate it like crazy. I don't know if I got the correct size pellets. I didn't expect it to be so small. Maybe the next size up will be too big?
I usually prefer the smaller food - fish will always eat smaller pellets but not always larger ones. Plus, in an auto feeder, the smaller pellets tend to be more controllable and less likely to jam in my experience.

I use the digital version of this same feeder. Very reliable, easy to refill.

I haven't been on vacation in 11 years. We all went to Disney in FL. On Jan 31 my hubby and I will be going without the kids on vacation...that hasn't happened in 22 years.

My question for you: What is the best quality of pellet food? I have tried Piscine Energetics pe pellets. They usually eat 2 to 3 pellets and don't touch the rest.

That sounds like a long overdue vacation!

I have a mix of hikari seaweed extreme (for the tangs and blenny) and new life spectrum (regular pellet, 1mm - 1.5mm). they are pretty close in size and dispense well from my ehiem feeder. I have tried piscine pellets too, about the same experience you had. Reef nutrition pellets were good, the fish liked them too, but long term were pretty heavy in the phosphates. I also tried the hikari carnivore pellets. The new life spectrum had the best balance of fish palatability, water pollution, and availability so far that i have found.

^^^ this. All the fish will eat small pellets, but only bigger fish can handle the big pellets, and what they don't eat the crabs and CUC have an easier time with. Spot on with controlability and less likely to jam too.

Glad the ultra fresh is working out, i will have to check into that! and fauna marin stuff too.

Good morning 😊
How is the weather in Palm Coast? It's rainy and in the 50s here in NJ. Weather has changed drastically since I was a kid. Jan to March would be bitter cold in NJ.
