I spent some time today reading and watching the videos (by the way they are very good) on the @noopsyche website so I would have an idea how to program the lights. Since I have always ran T5 lighting I was wondering what is the range one light will cover. My rock work is 35" wide and 25 SPS going across the whole length of the rock work. I came across the Frequently Asked Questions section....It looks like I need at least 2 units to keep my SPS covered. I won 1 unit from R2R give-away contest. So I may have to wait to set it up :(

  • Q:How many lights do I need for my reef aquarium?
  • A:(The recommended quantity is determined according to your LPS/SPS) 15"to23"L(1 140w K7V3) ; 25"to47"L(2~3 140w K7V3) ; 49"to70"L(3~4 140w K7V3) ; 71"to88"L(4~5 140w K7V3)

Well I couldn't resist and I setup the @noopsyche light under my T5. The reason I set the NP under my T5 ATI lights is because I have 1 NP light but I need two for my tank width.

I must say that I love the light bracket. I have black plastic rimed tank. The NP bracket clamp to the tank fits my tank rim unlike the Rea Sea 160S bracket. I like that if one wanted to position the light parallel to the tank front or perpendicular to the tank front, you can do that with the Noopsyche light. This is not the case with the Rea Sea 160S. The light is stationary with the Rea Sea 160S bracket . The RS light can only be parallel to the bracket.

Wow! I read a post stating how bright the noopsyche light is, that person wasn't kidding! Can't wait for the lights to come on in the morning. I found following the directions in the manual book to setup up programming the lights easier to follow than the video. Don't get me wrong the video is a plus to watch. I am a visual learner and the video did help.

Well it is 1:11 AM here on the east coast of the US and I need to get to bed.

The current sale is pretty decent. I might be adding one more.

I added the NP light that I won from the R2R give away. It's only lighting half of the tank. The other half is lit by T5

Wish I could run a test on the whole tank with the NP to know if they how they compare to T5

How many t5 bulbs do you have? I have 4 x 48. Although I don’t have a par meter, at 50% my NooPyschee easily exceed the visual par of my T5s. Only downside is some shadowing

Little update on the tank. I had placed an order with Dr Reefs Quarantined fish on Oct 2nd. I received 2 of the three fish ordered. The reason I placed an order for three was the shipping being $50. I wanted the Blue Star Leopard Wrasse and the other two fishes were just add-ons. He shipped out the fish but when I recieved the order, the wrasse wasn't included. I called and was told the wrasse didn't look good so it wasn't included. The add-ons were Court Jester Goby and a Midas Blenny. Yesterday while I wasn't home the blenny jumped out of the tank. Not sure how since there is a tank cover. He's still behind the tank stand. Don't know how to get him out. I can't believe I am saying this, but Midas blennies have the cutest face. Well here is a photo of the goby. Can't get over how small the goby is.

Oh no! Sorry about your jumper!! I hope it doesn't start to smell bad. ;Yuck Is the vendor going to send you a wrasse (or THE wrasse) when it's healthy? They should have at least told you ahead of time. :/

They do have a cute face, sadly mine was a meany pants. He managed to jump out of my cover too. I think they are thinner than they look.

Kind of sucks about the fish order. :(
