Details:
I was reluctant to order from fishy business aquatics, I even gave them a bit of a hard time on their forum...
But, I placed an order for 7 fish on Nov 14. If I said everything went perfect it would be a good review, but the fact it didnt go perfect makes it great.
I believe any company can make a customer happy when things go right, but the company who makes a picky customer happy when things go wrong deserves to use the slogan " a step above" fishy business earned that slogan from me on this order.
There was a minor error on the cart.
I added to my original order and was charged shipping insurance again. I emailed and received a response within minutes and a refund in another minute or two. A+
Shipping delay. Not the fault of fishy business in any way. I notified them and they were very responsive and helped me make arrangements to pick up my cold fish at the distribution center overnight. Their primary concern was the health of the fish. I was clear I needed an exception on warranty since I was going to pick up cold fish 24 hours late. Letting them arrive 12 hours later would guarantee their death, but would protect my warranty. They did not hesitate, go get them was the response. A+
They all arrived alive, but very cold. Single digit temps here in Minnesota. Three never really had a chance, but the rest made it. I credit fba and their willingness to work with me as saving the lives of those 4 fish. I even got a phone call checking up on them. A++
The ones that perished were replaced without a hassle, without hoops and without a hitch. I was even sent photos and received a call regarding the exquisite wrasse as I had some questions on which variants were in stock. The replacements arrived today on time, warm and happy. The replacements were gorgeous fish, unlike doa replacements I have received from other companies in the past.
In this case, fishy business aquatics went above and beyond to make a less than perfect experience an A+ . What more could a customer ask for?
