Hello!
Seeking opinions if it’s okay to put these flame angels together in a 120. Not too sure about the sexes.
Thank you!

Looks like 2 males and questionable at best.

When I added 3, supposedly 2 females and a male, to my 240, what was a questionable female turned out to be male. The larger more dominate male made short work of the 2nd male.
I wouldn't think 2 males in half the room would turn out well

How big are they?
The black coloration point to females. The shape of the dorsal and anal fins need to be seen when they are fully extended or else it is nu-reliable.
If the fish is comfortable in his environment, put a mirror on the tank will result in males attacking his shadow, while female does not pay much attention to it. This and acclimation box is your best bet to get them together safely.

Hello all!
I appreciate the feedback.
Light orange is about 3.5”, > 3yrs.(2nd pic). The other 1 is about the same(1st) received from LA 2/2020.
Will try the mirror trick.
Thank you!

at 3.5 inches, they are most likely male. You can easily add small flame angels, less than 1.5 inches to the tank easy. If both are healthy and three are plenty of nooks and cranny to hide in, two males will fish but eventually one would revert back to female. This is really stressful for them and sometime result in death of one. If this is what you want to try, you much have a tank "full of rocks" so the looser can get away.

Guess they’ll be better off in separate tanks.
Thank you!
