Flame angel in a reef?

I have total of 7 angels in my tank no problems

I had a flame for about four years until I broke my last tank down and sold all the fish. He would nip at acans but never bothered any sps or clams.

Sounds like a crap shoot for a perfect personality. For people that have them, if they are model citizens or the devil of the tank... When you bought them how was their behavior in the lfs? Hyper, calm, hovering etc.

I kept one for years with no problems also , just keep well fed

One of my friends has a reef tank with all types of coral and he has a flame it has no problem in there.

I'm getting rid of mine. Seems to nip at a meat coral I have and a few sps I have. Hate to see him go especially since I only paid $25.

Of course no two fish are the same.

It's a toss up, some take years others nip right away. Once the start, it's time to decide whether the coral or fish is more important.
