Flame Angel - only eats shrimp?

So I have a Flame Angel in QT, doing fine, just completed 30 days copper no issues. Eats like a pig since day 1. Only question is it seems to exclusively eat mysis and other shrimp type foods.

I understand they are also alate eaters, but this thing won’t touch nori, or any algae in any prepared foods. When I package algae foods mixed with mysis and it nabs a piece of algae it’ll spit it out immediately. Seems it’s exclusively carnivorous.

Is this usual?

What he eats in hospital tank is hardly representative of what he will eat. My harem of Flame angel eats everything. Male Flame and Flame ON mode. Third picture is one of the females.

I just picked up a flame angel. He's currently in observation, but I'd like to run it through my standard QT procedure. Copper Power then 3 doses of API General Cure + Metronidazole Food.

Do you have any tips regarding how you ran your copper for QT? I've heard mixed experiences with flame angels and copper so if you could share any details on how you did it that would be great (which med, what levels, ramp time, etc.)
