I've had a Flame Angel for about 3 months with no issues.

Over the last three days, it has decided to start nipping at zoas and has now ripped two heads off of a hammer coral.

This may be a dumb question but I'm going to ask anyway.

Both heads are still in tact, is there any way to save the heads?

Also, is there any way to stop the nipping other than re-home him?

Thanks

I just had that same thing happen I moved it to a different spot but I just checked and it is toast.

I want to blame it on the Flame but I have never seen it show any interest in corals and I really don't have anything else that would be another prime suspect. I'm keeping a closer eye on everything now that this has happened twice, I also feed heavy but had to cut back due to GHA issue so that might have lead to the nipping

This also happened to another hammer, I moved it and it survived I think moving it helps to make the fish have to look for it again or at least get it out of their path.

So I guess it is a 50/50 on survival
