With a relatively flat coral on a frag plug, and set into a frag rack, how do you get a photo of it? With the camera at a right angle to the glass, all you see is the edge of the coral.

If you get all the equipment needed to shoot from the top of the tank, how do you avoid shadowing the lighting?

Is there a frag rack that allows angling the frags?

Its quite easy.
Turn off flow, get a clip on lens gel filter kit for your smart phone and shoot top down.

I have a AI Prime HD, so wouldn't the camera block out the light?
Also, if I want to use a SRL camera, it is even larger, and difficult to aim from the top.

These help allot. There are several types made by different companies.

Yup, that looks like the ticket. Now, I only need to spring for the Nikon with flip screen.

I use that avast marine thingy with my iPhone and a clip on orange lens (works great!) but I also do the much simpler “turn off the flow” trick for shots on my frag rack since they’re so close to the surface. All shot with my iPhone 8 and under AI Prime HDs.

I sometimes will prop the rack or plug at an angle by placing a frag disc under the end away from the front of the glass.

First pic is flat with the camera angled down through the glass (which causes blur) and the second is with the disc propped up with another disc under the back.
