Flat worms

I'm thinking of buying a 125 for a great deal but the guy said there are some flat worms in the tank in fact they killed two of his fish. If I decide to buy this how can I rid the tank of this problem. Thanks for your input and help

Not sure how flatworms could kill a fish? If they are red planaria flatworms it would be fairly easy to solve the problem aefw are going to be more difficult.

Do you know what kind they are?

Not off hand he said over the phone that he has a few flat worms I don't know much more than that. I'm going to look at the tank tomorrow first hand
