Flatworm Exit "Didn't Work"

I noticed some flatworms on my goniopora. I put the FE in as directed. Within 15 or so minutes, the flatworms started to move fairly rapidly around the arms of the goni. After 45 minutes, they still moved around but I found only one that floated away.

I treated it again with an additional dosage as per instructions and waited longer. At this point, I waited for over two hours and they still wouldn't release from the arms of the goni and were still moving around. I felt uncomfortable leaving the tank for too long under those conditions so finely did a water change and put the activated carbon in.

Either these are a different type of flatworm or my tank only had them on the goni as I only saw one release into the water column off the goni. I guess I can either try again later or do a goni dip. I am sure this stuff is awesome but it didn't kill the worms for me.

Unique to this treatment is dealing with a goni. Get anywhere near it and it closes up and I didn't want to mess with it while its arms were out and flowing. I could just see some worms dying inside and not releasing into the water column if I got too close to it.

I have these small flatworms too

They don’t seem to do much but I’ve noticed flatworm exit isn’t very potent against them
