I have a 60g cube with a 40g sump.
I’m considering adding a fleece roller and looking at the Red Sea ReefMat 500.
The 1200 is only $50 more though…
Is there any problem running bigger? Thinking this would just help to future proof me a bit when I upgrade from the 60.
Thoughts? Also, is this the best fleece roller at the moment?

Take a look @ Reef Factory units. You would need the small one.
Champion Lighting is the supplier. Plenty of reviews out there.

I really don't know, BUT if you have one in use & need a skimmer, they say to drop the size by 1.

If you have the room then a larger unit would be ideal for the marginal price increase.
The larger rolls also would need less changing on a smaller tank which is a huge plus imo.

Hi There

My Red Sea 500 works extremely well. Each roll lasts 3 months as I guess the water is now clean.

Sometimes I wonder if the roller takes too much out. Have now started feeding a little more .
