Hello,

I noticed these curious little blisters on my acan which has been doing well otherwise for awhile. It has has been inflating very large during the day with good feeder tentacle extension at night or during feeding times. My other acan colony seems to be fine. Any ideas what this could mean? I appreciate everyone's input!

It seems to be rather bubbles of inflated flesh, I'm not seeing any skeleton being built underneath, at least, not yet of it is I fact babies :)

They look too big to be babies even though babies will get much bigger before they develope a skeleton in my experience

Sorry this is about the best picture I can do. They seem like little blisters between the skin and the Skelton, though the skin surrounding the bumps in question seems normal and firmly attached.... Perhaps they are babies?

Is this the normal process for new heads to form?

You can see a bit of the Skelton where is has not re grown yet on the right hand side
