Hello everyone, I normally like to drink some creativity juice then hangout in the garage and build my scape on a piece of cardboard but for my new tank I'd like some suggestions. I've never done a floating scape before but I do have a magnetic rock in my current tank and I think it's pretty cool. I've seen some gorgeous "floating reefs" and with a mixed reef it will really help with flow and lighting requirements of different coral. The NSA " tree of life" that I also have in mind will do it also and possibly give my fish a little more swimming/hiding areas but I'd like everyone's pros and cons of each.

I'll add some photos of my new tank, current tank and tanks of my past for some interest. thanks R2R!!

New tank is a custom AIO. Same dimensions as a Red Sea 170. Not bad for $250(maple syrups). Came with the stand, lid, heater, media basket and a syncra 2.0.

Current tank is an innovative marine 16. Another good deal I found but it's starting to get too small.

This was my pride and joy lagoon tank. Sad I had to shut it down and move across the country but it got me one step closer to my dream 125 gallon and taught me a lot.

why not try and merge both styles? could have your NSA tree and some floating accents.
