Does anyone else use flooding their house as a means of water change?

I've been meaning to do a w/c for awhile, wife called me at work saying the tank was leaking.... All over the floor

Found out the filter sock (I just installed it and my sump wasn't built for socks) over flowed...

Buying a leak detector asap...

I do manage to get nearly everything wet in the vicinity of any of my equipment. Goes to make water, pump / hose sprays everywhere.. no matter how often I do it I manage to get water just about any and everywhere I shouldn’t

Towels and more towels use to be my best friends. Now I have a basement. Ohh boy you can't even think how wonderful that is. All my messes find its way to the drain.
