Florida vacation

I'm going to be visiting SWFL the first week in April, staying on Sanibel Island. If any of you local folks want to meet up, let me know! My plan so far is to collect as many shells as possible, lol :cool:

I spent many holidays on Sanibel/Captiva.....is there anything left of the islands after the hurricanes? I saw they were trucking in sand to rebuild the beaches.

To me, it's gorgeous there!! Since I didn't first visit until after the hurricanes I have nothing to compare it to, but there's plenty to do and see :)

Ok good.....I have been afraid to return. I know a lot of the places we used to visit (like the shell museum and a lot of the restaurants) had taken a ton of damage.

Shell museum opened last summer.

Oh, joy. My 12:17pm flight has been delayed an hour :(

IAH - Intercontinental Airport Houston.
It's fine; there's a woman sitting nearby having a very loud phone conversation... keeping everyone entertained i guess, lol

The first delay was due to air traffic control (not enough of them for the airspace around Ft. Myers) The second is so we don't fly through this... I'm good with it!

Good news! We boarded the plane about 30 minutes ago; bad news, they made us get off the plane due to another delay. Fun day!
