Well here is a short version of what's going on. I have a vortech mp40w. I absolutely love it...when it's working. I have had the pump for 6 months and have already replaced the wet side several times. Ecotech has been wondeful with their customer service but supposedly there is a manufacturing defect with the driveshaft and it is causing the wetsides to seize up. Anyways...I am thinking about buying a tunze 6105 with the singlecontoller for it. Does anyone have any experience with the new gen tuze pumps? Quality? Reliability? etc... I just can't keep changing the flow every 2-3 weeks. I want something I don't have to worry about. Thanks ahead for any feedback.

I have 3 tunzes in a 100gl all 6100.10 on a multi controller I have a few other pumps in the tank but I love mine. I am sorry I can't compare to the vortex as yuzes and koralia's & mj with mods is all I ever owned. I think you will be very happy as for the clean look you can count that out. As the big ones are big and bulky.

Thanks...from what I hear the new tunze are a lot smaller than the older ones so I don't thing it will be to bad but no one around here carries them in stock which is why I was asking for opinions.
