Flow direction

Using one powerhead, what would be a good way to get flow?
Key: green good flow (maybe sps worthy?) Yellow: low flow, but good enough for softies and such. Red: little to no flow, dead spots.
Black: WAY too much flow.
My current setup :

What else would work?

Where is the powerhead located? Can you share a pic of the tank and current setup?

I like to point corner to corner. Back left to front right. I usually aim it up to add surface agitation and a bit of a gyre.

The "diagram" is a top down view of the tank, trying to show my current flow.
I want to get with only one powerhead enough flow for easy sps up top, and decent flow in the bottom portion of the tank for soft corals.
Tank is getting rip cleaned soon btw.

It should be pointed up at the surface to create surface agitation. Why only one? How big is your tank? 2 is almost always better.

If its 10 gallons, I would forget about the sps for now, get the tank looking great with lps and softies, then you can add a couple of sps to try, but in no way do you want to try and fit the tank to suit the sps over the rest of the corals because realistically its a softie /lps tank.

If you have your heart set on sps do an sps tank and add a couple of lps later but imo trying for a mixed reef in a 10 gallon from the off set is going to make things more difficult than they need to be.

I'm only trying maybe like 1 or 2 montipora digititata. Easy and gives that look.

It's pointed up kinda, but not too much.

The easiest and best way is to let the corals tell you where the flow needs to be, add the corals and then work out the best flow for them.
