Hello all,

I just set up a Red Sea Reefer 250 and am trying to figure out where the best spot to place the power heads would be. I currently have 2 Nero 5s and a Varios 4 return pump, so it is certainly enough flow, but I am wondering if I should put the Neros on the back of the tank facing toward the front glass or should I have them on the sides running across the tank? The 250 is 36 inches long and 21 inches high.

Any other suggestions are welcome too!

I would say your scape has a huge factor in power head placement. So a picture would help.
Thanks for the quick reply.

Here's a picture of the current setup!

I would think one Nero on each end would be place to start. Special if you have them set to random or palse mode.

I like to move pumps around from time to time to change things up.

I would also recommend having your cords vertical so if something happens your pumps won't swing and hit your glass.
