Ok I need help. Ideas would be great. I’m overthinking this. Here is my setup. I have a 40 gal breeder. 2 Nero 3 one on the right and one on the left about 3/4 up from bottom and on back I have a Tidal 75 in the middle on the back more for media and surface agitation. Not sure placement or settings on the Nero 3. Do I put them straight across for each other or one towards from and one toward back. This is what I have in the tank.
Kryptonite Candy Cane
Ultra Red Lord Acan
Fox Coral
Dragon Soul Prism Goniastrea
Purple and Green Branching Hammer
Kenya Tree
Duncan
Frogspawn

2 clowns
Yellow Mimic tang
2 yellow tails

All coral are mid to low level in tank

Any help would be great on flow for to HOB and the 2 Nero 3.

How much rock do you have? One approach is to put one a bit lower on the end toward the back that will pick up and suspend any food or detritus that collects on the bottom in the back. The other one can be on the end toward the top which pointing the opposite direction from the other. This will help accentuate a light circular flow and create some surface agitation for oxygenation. At the end of the day, I would pick a setup and then listen to your fish, corals, and water chemistry. They will show you the way if you pay attention.

Flow should be chaotic. Positioning the Neros opposite each other will do this.

I put one on the left towards the back and low the right to the front and up high. My question is settings. Pulse random both parent etc. then with the tidal use it more for skimming and shut bottom off or keep open etc sorry I’m newbie.

Point them towards each other so the flows meet and bounce and create random flow patterns. Pulse or random, etc... is your choice. It takes experimenting to find the best programs and positions for powerheads, its not that easy to be honest.
