Looking for feedback for any adjustments if any. I'm suspicious about the way I've set up my flow but I don't have any one to talk to about this other than ChatGPT. I just added my first hammer today and noticed it was whipping around in the water so I reduced the flow, then again then again the again to the point where I'm at 10% power on my RedSea ReefWave 25 in my 51 gallon tank and I'm nervous about increasing it. Is this because the hammer is a smaller frag and this will become less of an issue? Is this a first day in tank issue? Right now it's placed towards the bottom of my tank and I have a gyre towards the top on the left. My return pump is set to 40% power right now. I posted my settings below:

Parameters:
Salinity: 1.025
Alk: 8.4
Ca: 430
Mg: 1480
Nitrate: 13.2
Phosphate: 0.07

My schedule is at:

6am–9am — Uniform (Pulse)

  • Was 25–30% → Now 10–15%
  • Pulse time: 7–10s
  • Direction: Alternate (20mins forward / back)

9am–12pm — Random

  • Was 30–35% → Now 10–15%
  • Direction: Alternate (20mins forward / back)

12pm–5pm — Random (peak)

  • Was 35–45% → Now 15–25%
  • Direction: (30mins forward / back)

5pm–8pm — Uniform (Pulse)

  • Was 25–30% → Now 10–15%
  • Pulse time: 8–12s
  • Direction: (20mins forward / back)

8pm–10pm — Uniform (Pulse)

  • Was 20–25% → Now 10–15% (flooring it)
  • Pulse time: 10–14s
  • Direction: (20mins forward / back)

10pm–6am — Regular Flow (Constant)

  • Was 15–20% → Now 5–10%
  • Direction: Forward

Photo / video attached. Note I took this 10 mins ago (10:40pm at night) after I suddenly turned on the light. It was looking much fuller earlier under constant conditions.

Did you get this coral like this from your shop?
I can see that your Tissue from the euphyllia is retracted and starts to vanish.

Quick do a Betadine (1ml in 1Liter Saltwater) 15min bath. And then do a Honey bath for 30min. (1tablespoon honey on 1L saltwater)
Euphyllia love this and the antibacteriel Hobey helps the tissue to grow back.

Also check your Jodine parameter

Greetings
