Ok so my son and I are starting out a new reef tank. I did it many years ago but he wanted to try. So we decided to do a 40 gal breeder. Set up so far 2 noo psyche minis for lighting. I currently have a ac 70 that will become a fuge and Nero 3 will probably get another. As far as flow goes any idea on the ac 70 turn up high or low. For the Nero 3 suggestions on settings. I currently have two clowns and 1 anemone. Will do a mixed reed no plans on sps. Just no clue on flow. Eventually will add a top off and a skimmer. The Nero 3 is currently at random low 20 high 40 med

I have a very similar setup minus the nero 3. I leave my ac70 on the highest flow. Also printed a surface skimmer box for it.

I run 2 koralia gen 3 powerheads.

Sorry no settings suggestions, but something I sometimes do to observe flow is take a flashlight and shine it through the sides or top of the tank, and you can see how microbubbles/small particulates move around in any given spot in the tank to judge the flow. Can help to adjust flow or determine coral placement for me.
