I have a random question about flow for my 100g tank. Currently I have 2 MP40's that I run in reefcrest mode which is controlled by my apex. I do not have them running synced or anti-synced, i just have them each running as a "master". I know its a selling point to have the ability to have them talk to each other, but can anyone tell me the benefit to having them run synced vs non-synced or if running them the way I have them set up is beneficial or not?

I have mine on anti anti-synced. I like the random flow with reef crest Corals are doing very well with this setup..

I have the same setup on my 135g no apex, running in reef crest also . I personally don't think sync has a huge effect in that mode . sync is great for when I put them in feed mode though or when I feel like switching modes randomly I only have to change one . My tank being 6' long though I don't think the currents reach each other in reef crest for sync to matter IMO
