There's no substitute for knowing. I agree par meters are stupid expensive. Even some of the rental options seem a little ridiculous. Still, if you dig into the regional forums, fb groups, the local lfs... chances are you can find one you can use.

Yes your absolutely right and I never seen it b4 lol. Do you think my current orbit is good enough for lps? How about easy care sps. I know I’m not ready for it still long way to go just asking only better To know your light capable

I'm not a lighting expert at all. All I can say is that it's shocking to see the huge variations in light levels under a given light when you run a par meter. Six inches to the left or right on a rockface of roughly the same height and you can see par swings of 80 or more. The sides and front and back similarly can fall way off.

At 3" off the water, you've probably got even more dramatic hot and dead spots. May well be sweet spots for various corals.... just that the human eye can't see it.

I’m trying to revive my other frogspawn just both this to fb market gave me a good deal us you can see lot’s of head died already when I both it you think I need to cut the part that died already or just let him be?

This is my fluval discription- diy media basket with filter floss on top chemipure elite and matrix bioballs . Fluval ps2 skimmer on 2nd chamber and more matrix bio media . 3rd just stock pump and neotherm cobalt 50w . Flow OW 10 jecod set @ 1 speed and w1 pulse knob on middle fast/slow what do you think guys. Sorry I have to many questions just want to make sure all my fish and corals they get the proper way setting all my light flow and filtration.
