I am thinking about setting up a saltwater aquarium with a fluval flex 9 gallon. I have heard that this light isnt very powerful. So i was thinking I would just take the top off, and use the fluval 3.0 marine nano on it. However that light costs almost as much as the tank. So I am wondering do you think the light that the tank comes with will be able to grow corals? To be more specific LPS corals.

+1 on ai prime. I wouldn't spend money on a fluvial light. If you stick with the hobby you will want to upgrade within the year.
