Fluval G6 filter

I just dug this out of the closet. I would like to turn this into a bio-pellet reactor.. any suggestions? I guess I can put the pellets in the black canister and to flow back through? I think it would work.. granted it's over-kill but it's just sitting here...

Canister filters make great reactors. Calculate how much that will cost to run each month though.
