Haven’t had crabs for several years now and after Iv’ve seen Blue Planet 2 I’m thinking of getting some again. Are there any types of crabs that are for sure reef safe. I have coral and I don’t want crabs to hurt my urchin and snails either.

I have blue and red legged hermits, pithos, red mithrax, and emeralds in my tank. So far i haven't seen any of them bother my corals. But i feed heavy so they may have enough food throughout the day.

Same with me. I’ve watched my emerald clean hair algae meticulously out of zoas and never bother polyps. I have one emerald that likes to hide in both my birds nests but I’ve watched him and nothing has ever happened, if it did I wouldn’t care it’s a birds nest 😆 I feed a few crustacean pellets here and there for the 10 or so blue legs but they scavenge rock algae and fish food first
