SCIENTIFIC NAME - Coris formosa

COMMON NAME – Formosa, Queen Coris, Formosa, Queen Coris Wrasse

SIZE – 24 in (61 cm)

MIN. AQUARIUM SIZE – 200 gal (757 L)

FOODS AND FEEDING - Should be fed a variety of high quality marine meaty foods. Will also eat other crustaceans and some invertebrates.

REEF COMPATIBILITY - No

CAPTIVE CARE – This is an aggressive fish and should be kept with other aggressive fish. As it matures, the Formosa wrasse goes through many color changes and the males and females look different from each other. It requires a 6 inch deep sand bed to hide and sleep in. It will also move the rockwork in the aquarium so the rockwork needs to be secure against damaging rockslides. Wrasses are known jumpers so the aquarium top should be covered.
