FOWLR lighting suggestions?

I can see, but I can't. It's complicated.

After having reef tanks for over 30 years, I'm finally embarking on a FOWLR tank (not giving up my reef, just adding another tank for more fish variety). I've never had a FOWLR so I'd love to hear about lighting recommendations from some of the experienced FOWLR aquarists. What lights do you love? What should I stay away from? What's worth the $$$? What's not? There's tons of info on reef lighting out there, but relatively little on lighting a FOWLR. I value real-world experiences from humans over all the AI-regurgitated garbage that Google is serving up these days. Tank isn't purchased yet but I'm looking around the size neighborhood of 72 x 24 x 24 give or take.

I just use a NICREW planted aquarium light for mine. It has a timer, sunrise, and sunset options. Right now I run it at 50% intensity for about 8 hours a day, algae growth is minimal.

FOWLR with no future plans of expanding into corals? Then don't waste an extra dime on any fancy lighting. Your fish won't care one bit. Get something cheap off Amazon that will let you adjust a blue & white mix to your personal liking/ascetic taste, and you're done. :)

I am using what I had around too 2X photon v2
like said any light will work as long as it's not to much par lower lights will work, keep the algae down.
as long as you like the spectrum the fish will too.

I have AI blad on my smaller tank they are nice to keep the light spill down as they are right on the on tank.
I would get lights with timer and blue to white adjustment.

I use some extremely bright basic LED lights from Amazon. I think they were about 12 bucks each. Have two for my 125 and two for my 200. Work like a charm!
