Hi

I am new to the saltwater hobby. I no longer have income, so I would like to use the lightening that came with the tank if possible. I will probably need to stick with this light for a couple of years.

I am only going to do FOWLR. I would like to have coraline algae growing on the live rock. And I will have sand and cleaners/invertebrates too.

Will this light work for my current needs?

I don't really understand LED lights. When I used to have a FOWLR tank, I had T5s.

The 75 gal tank I have came with this LED lighting:

MarineLand LED strip - it is labeled for freshwater
White light with a a handful of blue lights
Here is some info: 36" strip
Light Appearance: 7800k
Brightness: 468 Lumens
Energy Used: 8.5 watts

I have also added a couple photos.

Thank you for your help!

Light is fine for FOWLR. You can scrap some coralline into your tank, however I'm not sure the light will promote growth. Also the lack of other parameters like Alk, Calcium and Mag will play a part which are typically not worried about in a FOWLR setup.
