Frag on top or branch?

Do you guys prefer to frag the top of your SPS or the branches? I was doing branches everytime until I read a post that said cutting the top of an SPS kind of restimulates growth. So I just fragged my OT on the top. Any feedback?

Captive SPS colonies are a little like bushes- you frag them wherever they need to be trimmed.

What Mr Bill said, frag when needed. They'll start pushing out new branches no matter where you frag it. At least that's been my experience.
